Before we head at speed into Autumn and the Christmas rush just a quick review of some of the
highlights from performances over the second half of the summer. Summer brings a mix of
corporate events, private parties, public festivals and of course weddings. If one band can fit the bill
across such wide-ranging events we think Madhen can! (but then we’re biased!)
Hersham Beer Festival
It’s been a while since Madhen gigged in a scout hut, but at Hersham Beer festival 2017 that’s precisely
what we did – and it ROCKED! We were made to feel so welcome by the sell-out festival crowd
who had been warmed up to ‘roasting’ by Goldie Looking Chain, as well as a set by DJ Judge Jules.
The intimacy of the event, not to mention the sweltering heat (oh to have that back!) made for one
of the most memorable gigs of the year. We’re delighted to announce we’ve been asked to return for the 2018 festival!
Birthday and wedding celebrations
We believe it’s testament to our broad appeal that we’re booked to play parties for all age ranges. In
July we celebrated Emma’s 40 th at her beautiful home in Essex, followed a week later by a
magnificent event celebrating the 70 th Birthday of Rami Ranger OBE, held at London’s Grosvenor
House. Age is clearly only a number. Rami was on the dance floor for our entire set and his shoes
even out-blinged Madhen!
We’ve also had the honour to play at several weddings over the past few weeks. Congratulations to
Sarah and Rory, Michelle and Philip and Jane and Mark. It was a pleasure to be invited to perform
for you and your guests!
Tonbridge Music Weekend
This was the 2nd time we’ve played at this event set in the grounds of Tonbridge Castle. The last time we performed as So 80’s and were so well received that the organiser wanted us back as Madhen.
This time we headlined Saturday’s concert supported by the brilliant UK Beach Boys.
Once again, the sell-out crowd made this one of the highlights of our year so far. It’s unusual for us
to play at public events as our diary is dominated by corporate and private parties, so it’s great fun
to play in front of a festival audience.

July and August still offered it’s fair share of corporate work though, including Hallmark Homes,
Wella and a return to Jersey to play once again for Bon Vivant and our good friends at Delta.
Madhen’s world-class DJ’s
Madhen isn’t just about the band. We were delighted to supply two of our favourite DJ’s, Jakey
Chan and Kelly-Marie to perform consecutive nights at the prestigious Kendal Calling festival as
part of the WKD installation. As well as DJ’s, Madhen Productions can supply the very best in state
of the art AV production making us a one-stop shop for many of our clients.

We’ve got an action-packed autumn lined up including two trips to Barcelona, one of our favourite
cities and a very special Charity event in September (more on that next time!) The diary is getting
