We’ve just had a great month travelling all over the UK and abroad this September. We flew a total of 12 times and performed in Aberdeen, Antibes, Istanbul, Twickenham, London, Birmingham and Harrogate!
We had a string of gigs in Aberdeen at the wonderful Marcliffe Hotel & Spa for Shell. Thanks to the great team at Grass Roots for some fun filled parties. Big thanks goes out to Barbara and Ali who popped this little beauty into our dressing room on the final party night!
We even had time to rehearse some new material and add it to our set at one of the sound checks in Aberdeen.

We performed at Twickenham Stadium on the 10th for a big corporate event. The following day we had a rehearsal with DJ Jakey Chan, who we’ve incorporated into the MADHEN set to add another dimension.
Jakey has played with us for a few good years now. We’ve now woven him into the MADHEN set, offering you guys another element and an exciting sound as he mixes, scratches and parties along with us on stage. Check out the video of us with him in Birmingham at the Hilton Metropole!
This is just a taster of what we get up to onstage with Jakey, he drops amazing tracks, beats, loops and samples throughout the set. He also gets a chance (as you can see above) to show off his mixing skills. Plus it means that he can perform before, during and after our set to keep that dance floor rocking!
A crazy week took place with a trip to Istanbul for the wonderful people at Ernst & Young. We performed at the Çırağan Palace

Currently celebrating its centenary, the Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc is a world famous destination for many celebrities. A few facts for you; Elizabeth Taylor’s luggage arrived there by truck; Mel Gibson showed up with 300 friends; Sharon Stone ordered a Nebuchadnezzar of champagne – and a harpist.
We were there to perform at a wedding party. The guests were flown in from around the world and the hotel had been booked out for this very lavish wedding.
We were honoured to perform at England Rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson’s Testimonial Dinner at the Grosvenor house Hotel. The Great Room was jam packed with guests including Zara Phillips and husband Mike Tindall, whom Helen and Matthew got to chat to. Highlights of the evening were the performance from the Kaiser Chiefs, plus His Royal Highness Prince Harry getting Helen to kick a rugby ball into the crowd during our set! Such a memorable evening. Thanks to the team at Fireball for looking after us.
