Sunshine in W4

Madhen-Yellow-Umbrella-Day

The sun was shining on Chiswick Park yesterday at the Yellow Umbrella Day.

We were there to perform two sets as Madhen and So Blondie for a free event in London W4.

There was a 10K sponsored run (the Runbrella), a 5K sponsored walk (the Mini Umbrella) and a 10 meter walk (the Woddle) for toddlers taking place at the event.

The event was a great success and raised money for the following charities:

The Log Cabin is an inclusive adventure playground for children and young people aged 4 -15 who have special needs and disabilities, or who are in need. Based in Ealing in West London, it aims to make a positive difference by providing exciting and stimulating play opportunities in a safe, caring and fun environment.

The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice Hospice provides care, support and advice for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. These care services are offered free of charge to families, 365 days a year across the western half of London and north Surrey.

The Kids’ Cookery School (KCS) is a unique cookery school for children and young people in Acton, West London. KCS exists to give children and young people the skills and knowledge needed to make healthy food choices for themselves; KCS empowers children and young people so that they can look forward to a healthier future.

It was a great day out and wonderfully organised. Thanks to all involved and to everyone who came down and showed their support.
