Here Comes The Sun!

Summer for Madhen means a diversity of events, as weddings, private parties and outdoor festivals weave their way in between our usual array of corporate events. June and July have seen us return to familiar ‘old haunts’ as well as several venues new to Madhen, with a mix of regular clients and some welcomed new ones.

One of our most loyal clients MDA saw us return for the 4th consecutive year at one of our favourite London venues  – The Troxy. It’s such an iconic venue with superb in- house sound and lighting, together with great crew, who, having worked so many times with Madhen know exactly what to do to compliment our performance.

Long before Madhen we’re known as a party band we learned our craft as “So 80’s”.  We still get asked to perform our 80’s set for themed events and we’re always happy to get out the leg warmers and shoulder pads! This time was to celebrate a birthday working with new client Zest Events. We received this lovely testimonial following the party:

“You were Fab-U-Luss! Genuinely – I am hugely keen to find the next client in the hope we can book you again soon! I really enjoyed working with you – Madhen could not have been easier and more fun!  You are a fantastic band. So tight musically and so slick. Absolutely brilliant.” (Wonkie Hills – Zest Events)

Certainly one of the highlights of this summer was the opportunity to play on the beach at Cannes for the prestigious 2017 Cannes Lions event. We were booked by Google to perform on the last night of the week-long event on YouTube Beach for their Pride party. This was the hottest night of the year so far on so many levels! We were delighted to share the stage with the brilliant beatbox group DUKE.

With many of the band being based in Northamptonshire it was lovely to play a ‘local’ event, returning to play at the 2017 Blades Charity Ball.
