Official royal photographers are few and far between. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently broke with tradition, using a good friend of Madhen’s to capture some portraits of the young Prince George for his third birthday.

Matt Porteous is the director of his company Studio_M. We have worked with Matt over the years on both video and photography projects for Madhen Party Band. Studio_M is based in Jersey and made up of photographers and film makers both in the Channel Islands and London. When Madhen started incorporating video content into our sets, we went straight to Matt and his team to come up with some visuals.
Matt and James O’Garra flew to the UK to record both a promo video and footage for a backdrop projection video too.
We’d met Matt through Delta Production Services on a corporate event many moons ago and remained in touch ever since. Delta are our ‘go to’ events and AV company whenever we head to the Channel Islands, which happens frequently.
Matt deserves all the accolades he’s received. He’s won many awards for his photography, much of which includes amazing shots around the coastline of Jersey.
Weddings with Madhen Party Band and Matt Porteous
His award winning wedding photography shows his unique take on all projects he undertakes. He won wedding photographer of the year in 2014 in the wedding category with this beautiful picture (below) at a wedding that we were lucky enough to perform at in the spectacular Victoria College (Jersey).
His online biography states that Matt’s images are “alive with emotion and movement”… allowing us a “glimpse of his excitement, his humour, his soul”.

Matt is best friends with the bride and groom and took the pics that New Year’s Eve.
Now that both ourselves and Matt have been royally recognised, we feel that the next challenge is to have him take a pic of us at our next royal engagement!
Our wedding of our own to look forward too…
We look forward to many future products with both Matt and his team at Studio_M. Matt will be our very own Matthew’s wedding photographer when he gets married this September in Santorini. With boats, beaches and booze…who else was Matthew going to ask?
