Iain & Michelle’s wedding
When one of your corporate clients books you for their wedding you know you’re doing something right! Set in the stunning grounds at Slaugham Place, we were made to feel welcome right from the outset! It was a double celebration as it was also Matthew’s birthday. Not many couples would think to arrange Champagne, cake and a card for the birthday boy on arrival and in the midst of their wedding celebrations! But it set the tone for the welcome we received from all the guests! The evening finished as it should with Iain and Michelle on the stage with the band!
East Winter Garden
Next up was an Insurance Awards event with one of our favourite clients, Production Bureau. The venue was new to us: East Winter Garden in Canary Wharf. It really is a great venue both architecturally and selfishly from a band’s perspective really easy to load in / out! We were especially grateful as we were straight from the venue to get a couple of hours sleep at Heathrow before flying to Stockholm.
Stockholm
One week after Eurovision we found ourselves playing in the same city at the Convention centre for King.com, developers of (amongst others) CandyCrush. We shared the stage with Australian DJ Hot Dub. These guys really know how to party!Thankfully the adrenalin from playing to audiences like this more than make up for the lack of sleep! The video shows exactly what we mean!
Fox Rocks 2016 – Ledbury
Our final event of May saw a return to play at this prestigious ball. We last performed at this event in 2012 and it was great to be invited back by the Ball committee.
Set in the beautiful grounds of Bredon School the Big Top was home for the night to 800 revellers. By 5.30am some had definitely revelled harder than others! Fortunately for us our performance finished a little earlier at 2am!
