The month of May has been a busy one for us MADHEN’s
We started with a wedding for Fleur and Niku at the In & Out Club in St James’s Square in the heart of London where the crowd went wild!
Fleur wrote:
“You guys were our highlight and everyone commented on just how fantastic you were…so energetic and totally wonderful.”
We went into the studio to work on new material shortly after. New tracks added include:

Avicii – Levels
Florence and the Machine – You’ve Got The Love
Example – Changed The Way You Kiss Me

Daft Punk – Get Lucky
Adele – Rolling In The Deep
Chic – Good Times
(Mashup)Beyoncé – Crazy In Love/Panjabi MC/Beyoncé – Single Ladies
Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven
Michael Sembello – Maniac
There’ll be more tracks added over the next few months too!
The next day we caught the Eurostar to Paris to perform for pharmaceutical company Fresnius Kabi in the stunning Musée Rodin.
It was Matthew’s birthday so it was nice to be in Paris for the day.
We had Mark and James with us from MADHEN PRODUCTIONS to enjoy our Parisian Party and make us loud and proud!
A great party – the crowd were on the dance floor 30 seconds into our first set and stayed there all night!
Thanks to the events team and the MADHEN boys for a great gig…we rocked Paris big style
We even got the morning off to explore Paris before heading back to the UK
Here’s a little video from our trip to Paris
It was the start of a busy 8 days as we flew to Aberdeen on the 18th May. We were flying to perform for the great events team at Grass Roots. 5 parties over the next 5 weeks at the beautiful Marcliffe Hotel. It was a fun filled carnival themed event and the crowd partied with us all night.
Up early to fly back to Heathrow the next morning
Then a quick change of terminals to fly with Emirates to Abu Dhabi for our next gig
We landed at midnight and it was 28°C – it was gonna be a hot gig the next day!
We were performing for Openwork who we’d worked with before a few years back in Oman. DJ Minty was with us too…a good friend of ours and always fun to work with. We managed to get a spot of sunbathing in after a hearty breakfast in the morning.
Matthew & Helen even managed to film some new lip sync backdrop video footage around the pool before heading to soundcheck.
The venue was stunning and only a short bus ride from our hotel
The guests were all in fancy dress and the venue was buzzing as we arrived to perform. We performed two great sets complete with our integrated video backdrop projections around the room. Such a lovely crowd and a good friend of the bands was attending the party too which was an added bonus.
We got a lovely email from Francesca at Jillie Bushell Associates thanking us, but unfortunately our paths didn’t cross as she flew in as we flew out. Thanks for all the hard work behind the scenes JBA!
We flew back with Emirates to Heathrow and drove straight to our next gig at Chewton Glen for make up giants Bobbi Brown.
Chewton Glen is a beautiful hotel and spa venue.
It was all hands on deck on arrival with the team from MADHEN PRODUCTIONS
Helen even got a her make up done by a Bobbi Brown expert!
Our good friend Matt Porteous was taking pics of the days proceedings – by the end of the night the girls were taking pics with him!
With a ratio of about 20 women to one man it was an interesting night. The glamorous girls and boys from of the worlds finest make up brands were definitely up for a party.
We had the brilliant DJ Jakey Chan on board with us which always makes for a fun party and a packed dance floor.
We’d like to thank Cheryl Godfrey and all involved for a wonderful evening.
Here’s to another one soon!
Whittlebury Hall near Silverstone was our next venue for BT
We were very well looked after and want to thank the team involved for a fun and successful party
Gig 5 of 7 was at the Hurlingham Club alongside our good friend DJ Lora
The Fearless Foundation Ball was held in the name and memory of Danny Fullbrook, chief football writer at the Daily Star who passed away last year at the age of 40.
Below is a picture of DJ Spoony and Harry Redknapp from the fund raising evening.

Thanks to the team at Fireball for looking after us so well…look forward to seeing you all soon
The exquisite Belvoir Castle was our next port of call in Grantham, Leicestershire
The grounds were the venue for the Caravan Clubs National Rally (their largest event of the year) where we were to perform as ‘So 80’s’ (80’s tribute band) and ‘Scizzor Sisterz’ (Scissor Sisters tribute band).
A large marquee for 2000 people was set up in the grounds ready for the stage event.
Matthew had tweeted earlier in the day that he was off to be Fake Shears (Jake Shears) and got a tweet from the Scissor Sisters front man himself!
A great audience and team at the venue – we had a fun night and all on not much sleep!
The following morning it was back to Aberdeen with British Airways from T5 for our 2nd gig for Grass Roots at the Marcliffe. Another fun gig and somehow we survived!
All in all a jam packed May – with more great gigs and great memories.
Thanks to all involved behind the scenes…you definitely do not go unnoticed!
Love from us all x
