Friends in High Places - Madhen

Friends in high places!

This month saw Madhen perform for three repeat clients – a corporate event in Lisbon, a charity event in Birmingham and a rare repeat private party in Verbier, Switzerland!

Joseph Foote Ball – The Brain Tumour Charity

We were delighted to be asked back for our 6th consecutive year to play for this amazing annual fund raising event at the Hilton Metropole hotel Birmingham NEC. Superbly hosted by Andy and Judy Foote the evening raised in excess of £270,000.

The evening is always action-packed with a range of entertainment throughout. Sharing the stage with Madhen was X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke, as well as Britain’s Got Talent 2015 finalists, The Neales.

To top the evening off for us we were immediately re-booked for 2017’s Ball!

Verbier, Switzerland

Whilst we pride ourselves on the number of repeat bookings we receive from Corporate Events, Production Companies and Charity Balls, it’s not that common to receive a repeat booking for a private party!

So we were thrilled to be asked to play once again for Kate and Rupert Rittson-Thomas, whom we first met in 2007 when we played at their spectacular wedding in Oxfordshire. This time the location was a little further away… and at an altogether different altitude! We flew to Verbier where the Rittson-Thomas’ have been living, to give them and their friends a fantastic farewell party as they plan to return to the UK next month.

The venue was Etoile Rouge- a fantastic nightclub in the heart of this most beautiful ski resort. The evening based around a brilliant (and totally whacky!) spectacle: Rollapaluza, which is an indoor cycling sprint challenge, and unlike anything else we’ve ever seen!

Rollapaluza Challenge

Guests in fancy dress compete over a 1km distance followed by a mad circuit of the nightclub (this time on foot, whilst carrying a child’s bike!)  It was great to meet and work with Paul Churchill, the founder and director of this unique (and bonkers!) activity. The guests totally entered into the spirit of the evening both in their attire and their fierce competitive antics. Kate and Rupert were superb hosts and it really was a party we’ll never forget!

Oh…did we mention the views?
