Fun In The Snow

As well as a month of gigging across the UK, February has been a month of preparation.

We’ve played for Unilever at Heythrop Park near Oxford, Novartis at The Lancaster Hotel in London and Mars Confectionary at the new Hilton at Heathrow… and yes, a fair amount of chocolate was consumed by all. Check out Helen and Matthew being M&M’s. We also performed as SO80s (MADHEN’s tribute to the decade that taste forgot) for a private party in Cheshire. It was possibly one of the more hair-raising journeys to a gig. I’ll let the video below fill you in on more of the details of that one.

The main focus for MADHEN this month has been getting ready for Confex2012. Confex is a trade show for event organisers in the corporate market. We’ve been putting together new brochures, live CDs and DVDs and you can expect to see us in some new funky t-shirts with more than a nod to the world of punk. As well as meeting lots of old and new clients we will be performing twice a day on the main stage at the central feature. The stage, sound and lighting are all being installed, supplied, crewed and managed by our sister company MADHEN PRODUCTIONS. The stage will showcase over 20 performances a day from other exhibitors at the show alongside MADHEN.

We’re looking forward to seeing some old friends at Confex (you know who you are….) and making some new ones. See you there! You’ll be able to find us at stand P330 and if we’re not there we’ll be on the stage.

Confex2012 runs from the 6th to the 8th of March at ExCel in London and will fit perfectly between a gig for the Joseph Foote Foundation Ball where we’ll be appearing alongside Ray Quinn of X factor, Dancing On Ice and Brookside fame and a quick flight up to Aberdeen to play for our friends at Roselle Events.
