Amy Winehouse's image added to Camden Square road sign

Another sad loss to the music industry last weekend, when troubled singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse was found dead at her London home. We performed ‘Valerie’ at an event Saturday evening, which has always been a firm favourite in our set.

We Can Be Heroes

We had an amazing night performing back at one of our favourite venues in London dressed as Superhero’s for Hogan Lovells’ Summer Party last week

Here’s a little montage video of the night for you all to enjoy.

Thanks to the team who put on yet another great party at our second home!

MADHEN – The ultimate party band!

Busy busy hen’s this week.  We’ve updated our website with new pics and bits!

www.madhen.net

Have been having some great gigs, from gorgeous weddings to big corporate parties.  Lots of activity in the office this week too, with many new enquiries and confirmations.  We have 3 gigs this week alone and September is looking really busy with every Friday spent in Aberdeen!

Also working on new tracks and our Christmas setlist too.  This is as good a time as any to thank all those who contribute to the success of MADHEN.  There’s a lot of great creative people we work with and companies who book us time and time again.  We are truly appreciative and look forward to a continued year of success

Much love from all the MADHEN’s

From Russia with love

MADHEN made our debut performance in Russia this week!  We flew out to St Petersburg for a corporate party for ‘Landmark’.  The venue was beautiful and it was great to perform in Russia for the first time.  We’d been pencilled to play there on a few previous occasions.

We flew out from London Heathrow at 6am to Zurich.  Then we transferred to another Swiss Air flight to St Petersburgh.

Thanks to everyone involved in all the planning and the smooth sailing of the gig.  Here’s to the next time!

Scissor Sisters

We had an amazing photoshoot last week with the incredible Joseph Sinclair. We will be posting a lot of new pics on the website and here on our blog in the next few weeks. Here’s a sneak peak at one of our new Scizzor Sisterz (Scissor Sisters Tribute Band) pics in full technicolour filthy gorgeousness!

The Scizzor Sisterz will be performing at the Courtyard in Hereford on the 26th May

Joseph Foote Fundraiser

It was an absolute honour to be asked back for the 2nd time to perform at the Joseph Foote Fundraising Ball in Birmingham on Saturday 5th March

The event, which raises money for research into brain tumours, was held at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel and attracted more than 800 guests.

Evening highlights included performances by Britain’s Got Talent star Connie Talbot

Take That Tribute Band ‘The Greatest’

X-Factor songstress Treyc Cohen

Plus of course MADHEN!

The charity was founded in 2001 by local entrepreneur Andy Foote whose son, Joseph, was diagnosed with a rare ependymoma malignant brain tumour, aged just 2. Despite multiple surgeries & treatments the cancer claimed Joseph’s life in 2007, following an inspirational seven year battle.

The memory of Joseph continues to be the driving force behind the Charity Ball, which helps to fund potentially life-changing research. This year’s event alone managed to raise over £150,000.

Andy Foote said:

” I am always so amazed and inspired by the level of support we receive year on year and it gives me great comfort to know that Joseph is still in everyone’s hearts and minds.”

It was a long day but for a great cause.

Luckily we had the pleasure of Bella’s personalised MADHEN cupcakes to keep us going after an early afternoon sound check as we didn’t get onstage till 11:30pm!
